1st Day in School

18th April 2011:

Today is Neha's first day for school. After visiting Discover,Kids R Kids, Goddard, taking
my baby's bilingual ability, we finally decided to send her to Greater atlanta montessori
school. The facts I've taken into consideration to choose this school are
1. The school's principal, Ms.Hannah, sounded passionate about kids and growing her business.
2. The school is pretty new, started in Aug. 2010, and she's looking forward to grow her
business.
3. Most of the Kids going to this school are Asians and Americans.
4. It's very near to my place, 1mile from my home.
5. Ofcourse the fee is affordable.

After weighing on all these, we decided to start her school from today. When I told Babbu that
she is going to school and can make lots of friends and she can play "catch (ball)"...
she seemed to be very happy for the reason that she's going outside. I don't think she
understood any thing else. She's happily dressed and all set to leave by 10.30AM.
Neha is pretty good when I was around. She's playing with other kids without hesitation and
exploring that area. I left her with teacher and closed the door behind her. She started
crying and didn't stop for 1.5hours. It's pretty hard to take it but no choice for me.
I've to work to support the family and "this place" would be (may be) the safe place for her
atleast I thought.

My baby is strong and so am I. I love you Neha SriNitya. Naa bangaru paapa. :)

Reuniting with my little one

After such a long time. Lot of things have happened over the past couple of months. I don't say I'm very busy but just been preoccupied with some thoughts. Being away frommy little one, very sad, the worst mistake so far. I told myself, never ever send her away.I shouldn't blame the situations nor the timing but I'm the only responsible one to make this happen so have to take the pain too. Had it been planned my career or future properly,I wouldn't let this happen. I couldn't extend my leave when my baby was sick and had to leaveher back with mom and in-laws after taking doctor's assurance and ofcourse praying GOD. Whoelse I can look upto! I'm so grateful to HIM for caring her so well and ofcourse manythanks to parents too. Needless to say, little one had tough time. Feb 22nd 2011 was an important day, she's coming back to me taking 30hrs flight and travellingfor such a long time (Guntur-Hyderabad-Frankfurt-Houston-Birmingham-Atlanta-Home).My little one, kudos to her for taking such pains. She's my inspiration, motivation whateveryou say. The one look she gave me in airport, I can't forget in years. Within no time, she's mama's gal. I'm happy again all over. All the bad memories or sad thoughts washed away.That's the magic around babies. Their innocent smiles make you forget everything but smileand laugh with them. Whoever said, GOD is great to create mommy are wrong, I believe. GOD is great to create the babies and now I understand why babies are considered to be another form of GOD. You are happy to have them around. Here's my gal, all grown up, understanding, following and ofcourse quite demanding.Everything is sign language. Who told babies can't express themselves. OMG, no body can express better more than a baby. She makes you do whatever she wants. They are incredible andamazing. Their sign language is simple but great. Buddi's first words

Nityamma is now 8months old....8months just rolled by!! She's trying to talk now, of course in her own language. Probably babies can only understand. I'm uploading videos of her in youtube. It's very hard to describe her actions, one just has to see and enjoy. At 7months, she started making sounds with her tongue like tuuuuuuuuuuu, taaaaaarrrrrrr etc... so funny. And now she makes sounds like maaaa, daaa, taaaaaa laaa. My resolution

I'm putting on weight....now 147lbs for my height 5ft1inch. I don't want to set wrong example to my daughter. Here's what I'm following. Every week I'm going to update my recipes and cook the same on weekend. Here the first week starts.

Lunches - 8, Dinners - 8, Breakfast - 8, Eve snacks - 8, Morning snack - 8

The foods include vegetables, chicken and fish.

Vegetable Recipes:

Indian Cucumber soup --> 3 Mor snacks
Indian flavored edamame --> 4 Eve snacks
Lemon Chicken with Broccali --> 4 lunches
Lemon grass chicken soup --> 2 Eve snacks
Tandoori chicken --> 3 lunches
Summer vegetable curry --> 3 lunches + 1 dinner
Cauliflower curry --> 2 dinners
Asian chicken and greens -->3 dinners
Rasberry-Lime Rickey --> 4 times
Baked Tilapia --> 3 snacks

Weekends with my wonder kid...

Buddi, lots of things are going in our home. Sometimes (infact most of the times) I feel like leaving job and staying home just with you. I want to see your smiles, play with you, hear your chittipotti maatalu.. You are growing smarter day by day... You hate sunlight just like your
dad. These days you are sleeping around 12.30 and so while getting up in the morning, you are crying alot for having sunlight directly coming onto your face. Today, you found awesome solution. You dragged the pillow onto your face, my little one. The way you work is so smart, amazing! :)

Every saturday and sunday, I'm decorating you in different clothes and feeling happy. My little one is not at all complaining and just keeping whatever mom gives her. Last week, in her white dress, she was shining like an angel and this week, Saturday in black girl, she just looked so cute and sunday Pattu langa... Naa chitti talli, naa diste tagultundi anpinchindi. anduke Dishti teeyinchanu le nanamma cheta :).. naa bangaramma...I love you soooooooooo much.....
